Daniel Smith Art Supplies Coupon

Just a quick post to let you know that Daniel Smith has a 20% off coupon for the week of June 18-25, 2012.  I wonder if it will work on my Daniel Smith Watercolor Traveling Kit?  That would be a killer deal!
Here is the coupon code: Take 20% Off Your Order: Call or Click!
Ok - someone posted here that the 20% doesn't work on the kit - thanks for letting me know!

Hi Jacqueline,

I just tried ordering your watercolor set with the discount, but it's not working. I even made a phone call, but the clerk told me that your kit is not selling for any further discounts. Oh, well.

Thank you, Jacqueline, for your amazing DVD. I love it! I have never watercolored anything, but your DVD has encouraged me to learn how to draw and play with watercolors.

Hi Jacqueline,

The discount code is NOT working. I even made a phone call, but the clerk told me that discounts are not applied to kits.

Thanks for your great DVD. I love it. I have never drawn or watercolored anything. Your DVD has inspired me to check out library books on drawing and watercoloring.

Thanks again.

Oh darn! Well the kit is a great value already so I am not too surprised that they won't discount it further. Thanks for letting me know and I am so glad to hear you like the DVD. Happy painting!

Hello Jacqueline,

I'm a scrapbooker, butI've been so inspired by your DVD that I want to abandon my messy scraps and turn my attention to beautiful watercolor journals like yours. My problem is that I don't know how to draw or watercolor.

I tried taking a drawing class this summer at my local community college, but the classes filled up immediately.

I've checked out drawing/watercolor books from my public library, but I'm overwhelmed by the different approaches and the very detailed, complex drawing instruction.

Your DVD makes it look so easy!
So where do I start? Any tips? Any books you recommend for a true beginner such as me? Thanks!

Please make another DVD. I'll be the first to bu it!

Hi Jacqueline,

I've been very inspired since purchasing your DVD. My problem is that I am a true beginner, for I don't know how to draw or watercolor. I scrapbook, journal, knit, and sew.

I tried taking a summer drawing class at my local college, but the class filled up immediately.

Since watching your DVD, I've checked out several drawing and watercolor books from my public library. However, I am overwhelmed with the detailed, complex drawing instruction in the books. Plus, I don't know which approach is best.

For example, I checked out Betty Edwards' "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain." Her style is quite different from other drawing books I'm currently reading.

Any tips for me? Your DVD makes it look so easy. Where/how do I begin?

Thanks!

Hi Damiane,
I feel for you! Funny story about the drawing – I signed up for a watercolor class through our continuing ed and arrived to see a still life setup on the table. The teacher said draw this. I said “What! I thought this was a painting class!” I had no idea that one had to draw! That was about 20 -(25!) years ago and I have slowly been teaching myself how to draw ever since. I have Drawing on the Right side but found it tedious to read. I have heard great things about it. Here is the secret to drawing - everything is related and should be in proportion to each other. Some people say draw with a pen but I say do what ever is comfortable - I like mechanical pencils & erasers as I make mistakes. And practice, practice, practice! Ok, I will write a blog about drawing - you inspired me...
