For Watercolor Beginner Painters Only!

If you are interested in getting started with watercolor painting, I made a video about basic supplies that you will need. I review my Watercolor Travel Kit available for purchase with Daniel Smith Art Supplies.

These are the colors you get in the Daniel Smith - Jacqueline Newbold Watercolor Kit

The supplier doesn't have any of your kits in stock. I hope they'll restock before your summer class. Love your dvd with Interweave!

Hi Celeste, They told me it is because the Arches Watercolor Journal is out of stock. Last I heard it was going to be back in stock in February. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for the reply. I will wait then. This kit is a great value, the price listed is the same as just buying the paints and nothing else. Lots of extras with this kit.

I'm having a great time working on backgrounds for a planned trip to Paris using your suggestions from the Interweave dvd. My mom attended one of your classes and purchased the dvd for me. We both look forward to your online class this summer.

Hi Celeste! I never priced it all out but but figured it should be a good discount. How exciting for you to be preparing for your upcoming trip to Paris! So glad you find the dvd helpful :)

Hi Jacqueline - For some reason the paint selection in the kit on DS website is different than the one you show on your blog. I will be buying paints separately as I have a lot of the supplies - took your class in Portland at Art & Soul and have your Watercolor Journeys book . . . I've lived in France and I'm returning in June for a long stay and will be painting a lot of "the subjects" you choose .. . .so I'm curious whether you prefer the colors on the blog to the colors in the kit on the website. . .Oh and I do have your new DVD - I like it a lot, reminds me of all the hints from the A and S workshop! :-))

Hi Cathy, I do see that a couple of the colors are different than what you will get. But they are a better fit for the color wheel. My color choices are always evolving!
