Remembering Provence, Corner Cafe

I just finished this watercolor painting, Corner Cafe.  The cafe is located just outside the ancient walls of the old part of the town of St. Remy de Provence, France.  The first rays of sun shines here in the morning and was a beautiful place to greet the day with our steaming cups of cafe au lait.

This painting creates such an inviting atmosphere. I just want to jump right into the image.

Thank you Teri! Ruca if you would sit still, I would paint you enjoying the sunshine.

yes a beautiful painting Jacqui; it reminds me of two large prints (Houghton looks like the name?) of similar scenery in France in my lounge room. What a wonderful world you live in with your art to take you any place you wish, just by picking up a brush, palette and a jar of water. Well done.

This is a lovely painting. Before I clicked it to bigger I thought it was an Oil painting as the colors are so rich like Oils. Very warm and inviting.

The color gives a vibrant mood to this. I'd love to be having coffee here.

Jacqueline, if I could walk there from here I would happily sit for you! Or perhaps I'll find a generous traveller from France who will let me tag along on her way home. Ahhh, it's fun to dream.
